When Reporting an Issue

When reporting an issue, please include:

• What happened and what you expected to happen.
• Your macOS version and Mac model, if known.
• Whether the MacBook screen was mirrored or extended.
• Whether the issue involves display controls, Finder context menus, or Safes.
• The steps that reproduce the issue.

Bug report drafts may include a short diagnostic note. Remove anything you do not want to send.

Notes

• DeskHelper appears in the macOS menu bar and does not show a Dock window.
• Finder context menus require the bundled Finder extension to be enabled in macOS settings.
• New File, New Folder, Paste, Open, and Safe actions may ask for folder access when macOS requires it.
• Safe archives use the .safe extension, and Safe passwords are not stored by DeskHelper.
• No DeskHelper account, analytics, ads, Safe password logging, or background telemetry are included.
