XTimers Activity Extension Privacy Policy
This policy covers the XTimers Activity browser extension and its companion native-messaging host, which work with the XTimers Pro desktop app by Xintech LLC.
What the extension does
While installed and enabled, the extension may query the active tab of the most recently focused supported browser after tab or window events and on a periodic heartbeat. It sends that tab's web address and title locally to the XTimers Pro app on the same device. XTimers records and attributes that information only while website tracking is enabled and the supported browser is the frontmost Mac application.
What is collected
The extension inspects the web address and title of the active tab in the most recently focused supported browser. This extension-side query may occur even when another Mac app is currently frontmost. The extension does not read, store, or modify the content of a web page; does not inspect background tabs; does not keep a browsing history of its own; and does not request account identity, credentials, form data, or extension analytics. A web address or title can itself contain information chosen by the site or user. There are no ads and no third-party trackers in the extension.
Where the data goes
The active-tab report is delivered only to the XTimers Pro
app running on your own computer — either through the app's
local native-messaging host or a loopback (127.0.0.1)
connection to the app on the same machine. The extension itself has no
remote host and does not transmit the active-tab report over the internet.
If the user later asks XTimers Pro to email or publish an activity report,
the selected report's application names and derived website hostnames may
be sent to XTimers' service for that requested action; raw web addresses
and titles are not included, as explained in the
main Privacy Policy.
How the data is stored
The XTimers Pro app keeps the underlying activity log on your device. It is not continuously uploaded or synced to your other devices; only a user-requested report sends its displayed application names and derived hostnames. While tracking runs, raw events older than 365 days are removed. Turning tracking off in XTimers stops app recording and removes the app's native-host integration, but does not erase existing history and does not by itself disable an installed browser extension's listeners or active-tab queries. You can clear the log at any time in the app (Automatic Activity Tracking → Reset tracked data). Removing only the app bundle may leave its container or Application Support data, so reset tracked data before removal if you want the locally stored activity erased.
Your control
XTimers website tracking is off by default and opt-in. Turning tracking off in XTimers stops the app from recording active-tab data and disables its integration. Disable or remove the browser extension to stop its own event listeners, periodic active-tab queries, and local delivery attempts. Existing XTimers history remains until you use Reset tracked data.
Data sharing and sale
Xintech LLC does not sell or rent this data. It does not leave your device through the extension; only content the user explicitly includes in an emailed or published report is sent to provide that requested feature.
Children
The extension is not directed at children. Its active-tab behavior and controls are the same for every user.
