Privacy Policy

XHelpers Pro is a local-first macOS menu-bar utility for display controls, window shortcuts, optional memory health and Wi-Fi monitoring, Finder context menu actions, local Safes, pointer profiles, key/button remapping, audio controls, and private live translated subtitles.

No XHelpers Pro sign-in or user profile.
No event tracking, session tracking, advertising pixels, or usage telemetry.
Core display, window, memory health, Finder, Safe, pointer, remapping, audio, and live subtitle features process content on your Mac.
Limited network requests occur for software updates, licensing, an explicit AI provider test, website analytics, and communications that you choose to send.

Scope and Controller

This policy explains how XHelpers Pro processes information on your Mac and when information may be sent to Xintech LLC or a service provider. Xintech LLC is the controller of information it receives through licensing, support communications, and this website.

No XHelpers Pro account is required.
No analytics, tracking SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs are included.
No background telemetry is sent to Xintech LLC.
Xintech LLC does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Local Data

XHelpers Pro processes and stores information locally when needed to provide the features you enable. Local processing is not the same as sending information to Xintech LLC. Xintech LLC does not receive this local data unless you deliberately include it in a support message or use a network service described below.

Local preferences may include:

Display settings, display identifiers and topology, brightness behavior, custom resolution manifests and backups, keyboard shortcuts, keyboard backlight, Wi-Fi switching, and start-at-login preferences.
Window arrangement and focus shortcuts, app bundle identifiers or paths, arranged-window state, Active Window Highlight appearance, and conflict-helper preferences.
Finder action settings, selected editor, terminal, and compatible apps, plus file or folder paths and security-scoped bookmarks that macOS requires to remember access you granted.
Safe workflow preferences and local folder choices. Safe passwords and derived encryption keys are kept only for the operation in progress and are not stored or logged.
Pointer-device identifiers and profiles, scrolling settings, key/button remapping rules, Audio Mixer preferences, and Live Translated Subtitles language, browser, appearance, subtitle display-duration, translation-timing, and speaker-separation preferences. XHelpers Pro does not build a history of typed text, pointer events, audio, transcripts, translations, browser URLs, page titles, or subtitle cues.
When Memory Health Monitor is enabled, documented system memory counters, local process identifiers, app identity, physical-memory footprint, and local threshold, ignore, notification, and snooze preferences.
Wi-Fi network names (SSIDs), access-point identifiers (BSSIDs), signal and band information, and short-lived scan or roaming state when Auto Wi-Fi Switch is enabled. XHelpers Pro does not read or store Wi-Fi passwords.
Trial markers, license validation timestamps, and, after activation, the license key and license-instance identifier in your Mac's Keychain.
Optional AI provider profiles, selected model identifiers, readiness status, and the default-profile identifier in local preferences. Provider API keys are stored separately in This-Device-Only Keychain items.
Bounded diagnostic messages described in the Diagnostics and Logs section.

XHelpers Pro uses macOS display APIs for display controls, CoreWLAN APIs for optional Wi-Fi switching, macOS Accessibility APIs for window control, local input APIs for pointer and remapping features, system audio APIs for Audio Mixer and Live Translated Subtitles after permission, on-device Speech and Translation frameworks for live subtitles, and macOS Finder extension APIs for Finder context menu actions. These APIs process local system and device information to provide the requested feature. XHelpers Pro does not upload display details, Finder paths, file or Safe contents, input events, audio, or passwords to Xintech LLC.

Memory Health Monitor

Memory Health Monitor is off by default. When you enable it, XHelpers Pro periodically reads documented macOS system memory counters and measurable local process identifiers, app identity, and physical-memory footprint. It uses that information on your Mac to assess sustained memory pressure and app thresholds and to show active swap rates as context. The initial release does not use a numeric swap-rate threshold to create or escalate an alert.

XHelpers Pro keeps only a bounded 15-minute system trend and the latest app measurement in memory. It clears those samples when monitoring stops and does not persist or upload continuous memory or process samples. Threshold, ignored-app, notification, and snooze preferences remain in local app preferences. macOS Notification Center may retain delivered alert text according to your system notification settings.

Bring Your Own AI

Bring Your Own AI is optional and supports only OpenAI Codex SDK, Anthropic Claude Agent SDK, Grok Build over its local Agent Client Protocol runtime, and the OpenAI Responses API. A local agent runtime is a local harness; it does not mean the model runs offline or on your Mac.

XHelpers Pro does not distribute or download the Codex SDK, Claude Agent SDK, or either SDK's CLI. Those two options are enabled only when XHelpers validates the exact reviewed SDK and vendor-signed executable already installed in a supported global npm location on this Mac. OpenAI Responses is separate and does not require local ChatGPT, Codex, or an agent SDK.

XHelpers Pro stores an API key you enter in a separate This-Device-Only Keychain item and does not place it in preferences, app resources, diagnostics, or command arguments. If you select Grok's runtime-managed sign-in, an explicit test may read your protected Grok authentication file and copy it only into that test's short-lived private runtime directory. The copy is removed when the process exits.

Test AI runs only when you choose it. It sends a fixed minimal instruction and selected model identifier to the selected provider to check authentication and model access, so provider usage or charges may apply. It does not send files, Finder selections, a workspace, free-form text, diagnostics, or XHelpers product data; agent tools and local product actions are disabled. XHelpers Pro stores only bounded readiness metadata, not the response or a transcript.

OpenAI, Anthropic, or xAI receives the applicable credential or runtime authentication, the fixed instruction, and ordinary network metadata such as IP address and time. That provider controls its processing, retention, billing, and account terms. Xintech LLC does not receive the provider request or response. Selecting a default AI grants no permission to read files, run commands, or control XHelpers features, and the initial release has no general chat or background AI task.

Finder Context Menus and Safes

XHelpers Pro includes a bundled Finder extension. If you enable it in macOS settings, Finder can show XHelpers Pro actions for selected files, folders, or Finder windows.

When Finder opens the context menu, the extension receives the selected or targeted URLs and uses paths and basic metadata to decide which actions apply. For supported ZIP or 7z files, it may read a small bounded header to determine whether an encrypted-archive action applies.
File-content reading, writing, encryption, decryption, moving, pasting, and app handoff occur only after you choose the corresponding XHelpers Pro action.
New File, New Folder, Paste, Move Here, Copy Path, and Open actions run locally on your Mac.
Open actions pass the selected path to the local app you choose, such as TextEdit, Terminal, Codex, Claude, Visual Studio Code, or another compatible app. What that app does next is governed by its own settings and privacy policy and may include network activity outside Xintech LLC's control.
Encrypt to New Safe reads selected local files or folders and writes a single encrypted .safe file after you choose a password and destination.
Add to Existing Safe reads selected local items and the chosen .safe file, then rewrites a replacement Safe after the operation succeeds.
Decrypt Safe reads the chosen .safe file and restores only the selected contents to the folder you choose.
Supported .7z, .zip, and .dmg archive flows also run locally and use the password only for the action you start.

Safe encryption and decryption are local actions. XHelpers Pro never stores or logs Safe passwords, and it does not upload Finder paths or file contents to Xintech LLC.

Window, Pointer, Remapping, Audio, and Live Subtitle Tools

Window arrangement, arranged-window focus, app-focus shortcuts, move-to-display actions, and Active Window Highlight act on local windows only after you enable or trigger those features.
Pointer profiles and scrolling settings store local device identifiers and preference values so XHelpers Pro can apply settings to the intended mouse or pointing device.
Key & Button Remapping uses local keyboard or mouse events to perform the mappings you configure. It does not store typed text or build a history of keys you press.
Audio Mixer uses macOS system audio capture permission to adjust per-app volume locally. It does not record, save, upload, or send your audio content.
Live Translated Subtitles runs only after you explicitly start a session. It captures the selected browser application's audio, uses Apple's on-device speech and translation models for finalized phrases and optional tentative previews, and displays cues in a click-through overlay. Audio, transcripts, translations, browser URLs, page titles, and cues are never saved, uploaded, logged, copied, or sent to Xintech LLC or an AI provider, and are cleared when the session stops. Browser selection is application-wide, so simultaneous tabs may be mixed.
The optional Try to Separate Different Speakers setting estimates anonymous speaker changes using a bounded recent-audio window and session-only acoustic clustering inside XHelpers Pro. It does not identify people. Temporary acoustic signatures and speaker identifiers remain in memory, are never saved, logged, or transmitted, and are cleared when the subtitle session stops. Results are best effort and may be inaccurate for overlapping voices, music, or short phrases.

Diagnostics and Logs

XHelpers Pro writes diagnostic messages to Apple's local unified log and keeps a bounded app-local diagnostic log. Messages may include app state, macOS and app version, display identifiers or topology, brightness and DDC results, power and wake events, Wi-Fi SSID, BSSID, signal and roaming decisions, and errors from features you use. They are not intended to include file contents, Safe passwords, typed text, or audio, transcript, translation, browser URL, page-title, subtitle-cue, acoustic speaker signature, or speaker identifier content.

Memory-health release messages use bounded reason and coverage codes. They are not intended to include app or process names, bundle identifiers, executable paths, notification text, or per-app memory measurements.

The app-local log is limited to 800 entries, 4,096 characters per message, and approximately 8 MB. It rolls over as limits are reached and otherwise remains on your Mac until removed with the app's local data or normal macOS storage-management tools. Apple controls the retention of unified log entries.

When you choose Report a Bug, XHelpers Pro prepares an editable email draft. It normally uses relevant entries from the preceding 20 minutes and may look back up to 24 hours if needed, with a maximum of 180 lines and 16,000 characters. Nothing is sent unless you send the email, and you can remove any diagnostic details first.

Network Activity

XHelpers Pro's normal display controls, window shortcuts, Finder context menus, Safes, pointer profiles, remapping, Audio Mixer, and an active Live Translated Subtitles session with installed language models do not require a network connection.

Before a Live Translated Subtitles session starts, macOS may download a selected speech or translation language model from Apple. Model downloads contain no browser audio, transcript, translation, URL, title, cue, or acoustic speaker signature. Speaker separation uses no network model. Once installed, XHelpers Pro sends no subtitle content over the network. Apple may process non-content operational metadata from its system frameworks under Apple's terms; XHelpers Pro does not author or receive that telemetry.

Sparkle may automatically contact XHelpers Pro's public HTTPS update feed, or do so when you choose Check for Updates. The request may include ordinary network metadata such as IP address, date and time, user agent, and app, macOS, and hardware information supplied by the update framework. The feed and downloads may be delivered by Xintech LLC's web-hosting providers, including GitHub Pages where used.

License activation, automatic validation, and deactivation use Lemon Squeezy, Xintech LLC's licensing and merchant-of-record provider. After a license is saved, validation normally occurs shortly after launch and periodically, approximately every 12 hours, subject to an offline grace period. Requests may include the license key, product or variant, license-instance identifier, an instance name based on the Mac's local computer name, and ordinary request metadata such as IP address and time. Lemon Squeezy returns license, product, order, and customer metadata needed to determine entitlement.

The current public XHelpers Pro release does not upload Safe archives or offer a Xintech-hosted Safe transfer or link-sharing service. Safe creation, update, inspection, and extraction remain local.

When you explicitly choose Test AI, XHelpers Pro contacts the selected OpenAI, Anthropic, or xAI service as described in Bring Your Own AI above. It does not test providers in the background.

Wi-Fi, Permissions, and System Integrations

Auto Wi-Fi Switch is optional. macOS may require Location permission before apps can see Wi-Fi network names and access-point addresses. XHelpers Pro uses those details locally for its menu and switching decisions and does not transmit them to Xintech LLC.

Depending on the features you enable, macOS may request Accessibility, Input Monitoring, System Audio Recording, Location, Automation, or Full Disk Access. Automation may be used for a user-requested Finder selection or front-window action, Rectangle conflict cleanup, or a restart/shutdown action. A privileged helper may apply display or custom-resolution changes that require administrator authorization. These permissions and helpers are used only for the local action or feature you enable. You can review or revoke permissions in macOS System Settings.

Bug Reports, Feature Requests, and Feedback

The "Report a Bug...", "Suggest a Feature...", and "Send Feedback..." menu items open a draft in your default email app addressed to Xintech LLC. The app does not send email automatically. You can review, edit, or delete the draft before sending it.

Bug report drafts may include the bounded diagnostic excerpt described above. Feature request and general feedback drafts do not include logs. If you send an email, Xintech LLC and the email providers involved receive the address, message, attachments, and technical details you chose to include.

Your Choices

You can leave feedback drafts unsent, edit them, or delete diagnostic details.
You can disable automatic update checks in Sparkle update preferences.
You can turn Auto Wi-Fi Switch on or off from the XHelpers Pro menu.
You can grant, deny, or revoke Location permission for Wi-Fi details in macOS System Settings.
You can grant, deny, or revoke Accessibility, Input Monitoring, System Audio Recording, Speech Recognition, Location, Automation, and Full Disk Access in macOS System Settings.
You can disable Pointer Profiles, Scroll Speed & Acceleration, Key & Button Remapping, Active Window Highlight, Audio Mixer, and Live Translated Subtitles from the XHelpers Pro menu or their settings windows.
You can enable or disable the Finder extension in macOS settings.
You can open Full Disk Access settings from XHelpers Pro if Finder actions need protected macOS locations.
You can deactivate this Mac from the license window.
You can clear the default AI, remove an AI profile, and request deletion of its Keychain credential from AI Settings.
You can remove local preferences, bookmarks, diagnostics, and Keychain items using the app's controls where available or normal macOS data-management tools.

Website Analytics

This website uses Umami Cloud, provided by Umami Software, Inc., to count visits and website actions such as download, support, privacy, terms, and email-link clicks. Umami may process page path and search, referrer, page title, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, campaign parameters, approximate country/region/city derived from IP address, and the event name plus target link or path for a measured click. Xintech LLC configures events not to include message contents or app file data.

Umami Cloud does not use analytics cookies or conventional fingerprinting and states that IP addresses are used transiently but not stored. Website analytics are hosted in the Umami Cloud region selected by Xintech LLC and retained according to the current account plan, currently up to six months. They are separate from XHelpers Pro, which contains no analytics SDK and sends no app-usage telemetry. See Umami's Privacy Policy.

Retention, Legal Bases, and Your Rights

Local preferences remain until you change or remove them. Keychain license and AI credential data remain until removed or the related app data is cleared. Removing an AI profile makes its credential reference unreachable and requests deletion of the corresponding Keychain item. Xintech LLC retains support correspondence only as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain business records, prevent abuse, and comply with law. Service providers retain information according to their terms and the settings described above.

Depending on your location, processing may be based on performing the license or service you requested, Xintech LLC's legitimate interests in securing and improving its products and website, consent where required, or compliance with law. You may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability and to complain to a competent data-protection authority. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions. Because most app data never leaves your Mac, Xintech LLC may not possess data responsive to an app-data request.

Memory Health Monitor's in-memory trend and current app samples are cleared when monitoring stops or XHelpers Pro quits. Delivered notifications are retained by macOS according to the notification settings you control.
